Masks

Do you have sewing skills and a stash of fabric?
The following agencies that provide services to support people with developmental disabilities would like to invite YOU to use your sewing skills to create face during the COVID-19 health crisis.

What can YOU do to help?
The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
The Developmental Disabilities Alliance of Western New York (DDAWNY) is seeking volunteers who are able to donate their time and resources to help us by sewing masks.

Please contact an agency in your area to determine need and make arrangements for non-contact pick-up of masks. Alternately, completed masks can be dropped off at the Cantalician Center  – 2049 George Urban Boulevard, Depew, NY 14043, Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, for distribution throughout our community of provider agencies.
