DDAWNY is reactivating the Transportation Committee and is looking for members!
Transportation issues continue to be a major barrier for individuals to live, work and participate in community activities. This committee will identify local transportation needs, collect data and match up local options. The committee will also work toward developing transportation strategies using public transportation and natural supports. The group will also identify and lobby for better funding to ensure public transportation options are available ( i.e. expanded metro routes, Para Transit services and dedicated funding) to meet the needs of individuals who reside independently in the community.
Next Meetings– Check the calendar page for the most up-to-date info.
The March 15, 2017 meeting has been cancelled. There is a big statewide employment and day meeting in Albany that many members of our committee are attending that will interfere with their participation in this meeting. We will be meeting in May on the 17th at 1:30 in both Buffalo and Rochester. At that time we will discuss the Mobility Management Report and our next steps.
